
Private and personalized Yoga Therapy sessions allow for a truly holistic approach to health and well-being, and can help support a host of physical, emotional and mental health conditions. This form of therapy can help manage conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, respiratory disorders, hypertension and heart disease, insomnia, IBS, back pain, ME, arthritis and pain management. It is also effective in helping clients undergoing cancer treatment.
Following an initial assessment, I will work with the client to create a specific yoga practice that is appropriate to their overall health.
Yoga Therapy sessions work specifically to soothe and nourish both the body and mind to promote balance and strength physically and mentally. There will be a strong emphasis on working with the breath and integrating a mindful (meditation), asana (posture) practice which is achievable. This practice will be scribed so that the client can take it away with them and integrate into their daily life.
Follow up sessions provide an opportunity to assess the effectiveness of the practice and allow for adaptations to be made.

It is recommended that each client has approximately three follow up sessions. Classes at a client's home can be arranged at an additional cost.
YOGA Classes

Yoga classes are focused upon the therapeutic benefits of yoga. By teaching small group classes it ensures each student receives a high degree of personal attention and classes can be tailored to individual needs.
Compassion and care are at the core of my teaching. This results in my students benefitting from the therapeutic and restorative benefits of yoga in a safe environment. Classes are adapted to cater for all ages and abilities, are friendly and fully inclusive to all students.
I respect ancient yoga philosophy and current evidence-based research when teaching yoga for health and wellness. I integrate meditation, pranayama (breathing), yoga nidra (guided meditation), mudras (spiritual gestures), and gentle asana (postures) to promote a sense of balance mentally, physically and emotionally.
